Akoma Unity Center celebrates Ahamad Chapman
Ahamad Chapman, a long-time member of Akoma Unity Center, has signed to play football at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). His achievement reflects not only his hard work but also the community that stood beside him from the start.
Since 2016, Ahamad and his siblings thrived at Akoma through programs like Drum and Dance, Rites of Passage, and EXL academic support. These experiences nurtured discipline, cultural pride, leadership, and academic confidence—foundations that carried him from Cajon High to San Bernardino Valley College, Riverside City College, and now UTSA.
Ahamad’s story shows the power of long-term community investment. His victory belongs to all of San Bernardino.
